Bison tennis quartet become great Drifters at tourney

OMAHA, Neb. — McCook Bison were part of two team who competed in the USTA Missouri Valley Nebraska Section Tennis Tournament last weekend.
One team was the Nebraska Drifters and those players from McCook include Nathaniel Miller, Payton Dellevoet, Lincoln Michaelis and Izzy Clause.
The Nebraska Drifters earned runner-up honors and qualified for the Regional tournament to be played in Edmond Oklahoma July 19-20.
That tournament will include sectional qualifiers from Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Oklahoma and Missouri.
They defeated Miracle Hill, a team composed of players in the Millard Schools district and Elkhorn School district, by a score of 52-40.
They then faced off with Western Nebraska Tennis Club earning their second win by a score of 50-43.
That set up the championship with West Omaha, a team composed of players from Elkhorn North High School. They lost a tight match up by a score of 46-41.
The second team was the Western Nebraska Tennis Club and those players from McCook included Jonny Frank, Kaiden Porter and Jaci meyers.
They opened play against West Omaha and lost that match up 58-17
In a second round matchup against the Nebraska Drifters, they dropped a close duel 50-43 Then in the third round they met Miracle Hill and lost 52-22.
