McCOOK, Neb. — It’s winter time in McCook so don’t let the 75-degree expected temperatures fool you later this week.

The Bison are hitting high speed for every winter sport starting with reserve home basketball games against North Platte on Thursday.

Girls tip off at 4:15 p.m. and boys follow at 5:45.

The doubleheader sets up varsity debuts on Friday against Chase County at Imperial.

Varsity girls action is set for 7 p.m. CST (6 p.m. in Imperial) and 8:30 p.m. boys tip time (7:30 MST).

McCook’s boys wresting team will be unleashed on Saturday morning when the Bison take on an always tough Cozad Invitational field at 9 a.m. Meanwhile, the Bison swimmers and divers enjoy that same morning debut in Hastings on Saturday.

Both Bison basketball teams then play their home openers Saturday afternoon vs. Valentine. Girls’ varsity at 4:30 p.m., boys are set for 6.
