Hitchcock County moves into the mountain time zone for a 6 p.m. (7 p.m. CDT) Class D-1 state quarterfinal at Perkins County on Friday.

The Falcons (9-1 record) hosted their first two games including last weekend's 30-20 victory over Neigh-Oakdale.

Perkins County (8-2) surprised previously unbeaten Arapahoe, 37-28, on the Warriors' home turf so hosts this quarterfinal game at Grant.

Meanwhile, the defending D-1 state champion Dundy County-Stratton Tigers (9-1) host unbeaten Howells-Dodge (10-0) at 4 p.m. MDT (5 p.m. CDT) in Benkelman. The Tigers trounced Nebraska Christian, 68-34, and have averaged 67 points through their first two playoff wins.

Howells-Dodge delivered a 54-20 triumph over Laurel-Concord-Coleridge last weekend.

The Six-Man Wallace Wildcats (8-1) travel to Pawnee City (6-3) for their Friday quarterfinal but no start time has been obtained. Wallace handled Hay Springs, 62-42, last weekend while Pawnee City upset No. 3 Red Cloud, 54-46.
