Trojans take district title and march on to state!

The Cambridge Trojans swept Central Valley, 3-0, to win their district championship at Holdrege High on Saturday. Senior Autumn Deterding's 13 kills, freshman Bailee Ahlemeyer's 16 digs and 36 assists from junior Breelle Miller were Trojan highlights. More will appear in Tuesday's McCook Gazette. The Trojans take a 27-6 record to Lincoln on Thursday where they'll play a Class D-1 state quarterfinal against Fremont Archbishop Bergan (25-0). The match is set to begin at 3 p.m. in Lincoln's Pinnacle Bank Arena.
