OMAHA, Neb. — Cynthia Georgette Peklo, 67, of Omaha, died Aug. 26, 2021, at CHI Health Lakeside Hospital in Omaha.

She was born June 10, 1954 in McCook, Neb., to George and Alice (Vogt) Hays. She graduated from Cambridge High School in 1972.

Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents, George and Alice Hays.

Survivors include a daughter, Melissa Peklo of Lincoln, Neb.; sisters, Colleen (Ted) Bode of Omaha and Pamela Leibbrandt of Culbertson, Nrb.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation is Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2021, 3-6 p.m., with the family present, at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel in Gothenburg, Neb.

Funeral services are Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021, 10:30 a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Jeff Cottingham officiating. Burial will follow in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
