Dodgers drive Pirates out of Majors title chase

McCOOK, Neb. — It was a tough day on Monday for Pinnacle Bank Pirates, who lost 14-4 to Volume Salon Dodgers

Pinnacle Bank Pirates opened up scoring in the first inning when Jaime Samaniego grounded out, scoring one run.

Volume Salon Dodgers took the lead for good with three runs in the second inning. In the second Braden F tripled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs and Aiden L grounded out, scoring one run.

Volume Salon Dodgers scored six runs in the third inning. Volume Salon Dodgers’s big inning was driven by singles by Kale Sattler.

Sattler led things off on the hill for Volume Salon Dodgers. The fireballer surrendered four runs on four hits over four innings, striking out nine and walking zero.

Brody Anthony led things off on the pitcher’s mound for Pinnacle Bank Pirates.

The hurler surrendered five runs on five hits over two innings, striking out four.

Jackson Hartwell threw two and a third innings.
