Your TSA at work

Smooth and efficient would be how I’d describe our local Transportation Security Agency, TSA, in action a morning or so ago at the McCook Airport. The passengers five in number that morning, few in the scheme of things but good for McCook, and the number of staff present about equaled the number of passengers. In my observation, Terri from Boutique Airline leaned over backward to process the correct paperwork and to assure that all bags were correct in size and within weight limits. Then the TSA staff did their job of x-raying every bit of the luggage and visually examining that all was proper and allowed for safety. Each passenger then was given the electronic full body scan with a gender-appropriate examination in private following. All those actions are required to complete the security assessment for any passenger to travel on our US airlines today. And yes an officer from the McCook Police quietly kept a wary eye on the proceedings.
