Did Bison tennis girls sneak past Tigers?
McCOOK, Neb. — Hastings toyed with McCook’s victory hopes while thoroughly trouncing the hosts...
April Fools!
Go ahead and title this “When Tigers can’t another court conviction.”
The visiting Hastings team literally had no chance against McCook High’s tennis girls who went four-for-four in 9-0 dual sweeps this season.
No. 2 singles was a competitive match, but Bison junior Joslyn Hammond took charge late to finish her 9-7 win.
“Yes, Joslyn got tested but came through in the end,” coach Matt Wiemers said. “I thought she played their best player, as she was a consistent player.”
Senior Lexi Hauxwell held off late charge to win 8-5 at No. 5 singles.
Otherwise, the Bison top players blasted across wins ranging from 8-2 to 8-1 to two more 8-zips.
