McCOOK, Neb. — McCook Community College freshman infielder Zack Beatty of Maple Park, Ill., has been named the Region IX player of the week for Feb. 23-28.
Beatty, the Indians’ first baseman, hit .500 and smacked five home runs to go along with 11 RBIs and 12 runs scored last week.
