CAMBRIDGE, Neb. — Cambridge High's girls advanced to the RPAC East Division finals while Arapahoe earned a strong consolation win on Tuesday at Cambridge High.

The Trojans (9-8 record) controlled their contest against talented Medicine Valley, who brought a 9-4 record into this East tourney semifinal.

Cambridge only allowed one Raider basket through the first period, then allowed no points at all in quarter three.

Coach Jarrod Albers' team will take on East No. 1 seed Alma in that East title game at Southern Valley High Thursday night. Alma edged Southern Valley, 44-40, for Tuesday's other East victory.

No Trojan scored more than junior Autumn Deterring's nine points, but they featured strong balance with freshman Bailee Ahlemeyer's eight while sophomore Paige Klumpe and junior Schyler Hobart scored five apiece.

Junior Carsyn Hanes, sophomore Breelle Miller and freshman Jalen Kent contributed four points each.

Kent, Klumpe and Hoberty hit long-range threes.

Deterding's 10 rebounds led Trojans on the glass with Miller cleaning both boards for six.

Senior Acelyn Klein scored 13 game-high points to lead Medicine Valley and freshman Stella Heapy sent nine through the nets. However, the Raiders finished just nine-for-50 overall (18 percent) according to maxpreps.com stats.

In fact, junior Kaylyn Roblee was the only other MV player to score two points.

Robles and freshman Madison Kramer both grabbed six rebounds, Klein took down seven while Heapy delivered four assists.

Arapahoe 52, Bertrand 34

Freshman Berkley Warner lit up Cambridge High, scoring 16 points on 50 percent shooting in Tuesday's RPAC East consolation game.

Junior Traci Roskop and sophomore Emerson Swanson added 11 points each as Swanson sent through a trio of three-point shots.

Junior Hope Koller contributed six points while sophomore Hilary Downey's seven rebounds topped Arapahoe (3-13 record overall).

The Warriors outscored their foes 14-8, 13-9 and 17-6 through those first three quarters.

Alma 44, Southern Valley 40

The Eagles (7-9 record) were leading 11-3 Alma until a 19-5 fourth quarter changed this East semifinal's outcome.
