McCOOK, Neb. — Coach Chelsa Jonte provided this information about the McCook freshman girls’ basketball win Monday night.

“The Lady Bison beat Ogallala 37 - 21. Leading the pack was Shawnta Koetter with 9 points. She also contributed to our defense by having 6 steals.

Rowen Weimers was our other top scorer also with 9 points. Weimers also managed to get two assists, one steal, one block and one rebound.

Next up for the Bison was Grace Wilhelmson with 7 points, 6 steals, and 3 rebounds. Sienna Dutton helped our efforts by putting up 6 points, 2 assists, 2 steals and grabbing 3 rebounds.

Sienna and Grace were also instrumental in breaking the Ogallala press and getting the ball up the court.

Kori Rippen continues to do good things for us. She had 4 points, 5 assists, 13 rebounds, and 2 blocked shots. Alexis Hanson added our final 2 points, grabbed three rebounds and one assist. Chayse Johnson handled

the pressure from the Indians and was able to grab 6 rebounds and 1 assist.

These ladies worked hard for the win and came out ready to play. I am proud of how they came together and fought for their first win of the season. It was well deserved!"
