McCOOK, Neb. — With only one regular-season game remaining, the McCook Bison (5-2) are currently No. 10 among Class B teams in power points and would start playoffs at Waverly or Plattsmouth next week.

The Vikings and Blue Devils are tied for seventh with 40.875 points, though Waverly whipped Plattsmouth 36-0 two weeks ago.

Waverly (6-2) faces a top challenge at No. 2 Norris (7-1) Friday night while Plattsmouth (6-2) does not have a game scheduled. McCook (6-2) likely won't gain many points playing at Alliance (1-6) as the Bulldogs are 23rd among 25 Class B teams ahead of only Gering (0-8) and Mount Michael Benedictine (0-8).

It's possible the Bison could get a rematch with Aurora (5-3) since those Huskies are only a half-point ahead of Waverly and Plattsmouth. Aurora won 21-7 at Weiland Field on Oct. 2.

Aurora lost 36-29 at Grand Island Northwest last weekend to end a five-game winning streak. The Huskies visit 3-5 Seward Friday night to finish their regular season.

McCook (40.428 points) holds the No. 10 spot with some space over No. 11 Blair (39.5) and No. 12 Scottsbluff (39).

A glance at the Class B projected playoff matchups entering this week:
