McCook E-Free opens community campuses in Oberlin, Cambridge

McCOOK, Neb. -- As technology has continued to advance over the last decade transforming the way people communicate, so too has it increased the abilities churches have to meet, support, and disciple one another. Technology allows churches to further their reach with the Gospel. To this end, McCook E-Free has been streaming its services for several years enabling it to reach many that are homebound or not in our local area.

McCook E-Free has been a staple in the community since 1979 and is focused on making disciples through healthy relationships, teaching God’s word, and leading intentionally so members are excited to announce the launch of two community-based campuses in Cambridge, Neb., and Oberlin, Kan. These campuses allow members the opportunity more fully evangelize and grow the communities they love.

“The idea of community-based campuses was first mentioned by a member of our church some time ago, so we started a couple of small groups in these locations to support discipleship and evangelistic opportunities closer to home,” said Jeff Donelan, senior pastor.

“As these groups have grown and more and more people are making the drive to McCook E-Free each week for services, it seemed a natural progression for us to firmly plant a community campus in each location,” he said.

The Cambridge Campus meets at the Cambridge Community Center at 10:45 a.m. Sunday mornings and will stream the entire service from the McCook campus.

The Oberlin Campus meets at the Gateway Auditorium in Oberlin at 10:45 a.m. Worship will be conducted locally and then the campus will join the live stream for the combined service.

“We are excited to connect with the people in these communities and begin building relationships together as we share the Gospel and grow in Jesus in this new way,” Donelan said.
