McCOOK, Neb. — The McCook Football League’s top two teams both scored shutout wins at Weiland Field Wednesday evening.

Breck Horner broke loose for two more touchdowns as the Cowboys silenced the Rams, 19-0, in fifth/sixth-grade action.

Horner’s first journey started at midfield and he dashed 50 yards to a 6-0 Cowboy lead.

Horner rumbled three yards for the 12-0 halftime advantage.

The Cowboys completed their third win when Bo Schlegel unlashed a pass to Asher Wilson which went 65 yards.

Grady Miller added the one successful Cowboy PAT run.

However, nothing could match Zach Hinze’s four-TD performance during a 33-0 Ravens win over the Raiders to cap Wednesday’s doubleheader.

Hinze covered an incredible 174 yards with his four scores and it began on a two-yard touchdown plunge.

He later sprinted 59 yards and awesome 85 while building the margin to 27-0.

Hinze added a 28-yard interception return to put the final touch on this latest dominant Ravens victory.

Ethan Latta also went 35 yards to pigskin paraise while Kalen McCorkle delivered a pair of PAT runs. Watch for more MFL results in Friday’s Gazette.
