McCook Bison 12-U team finishes 8-1

McCook Bison 12U defeated Sidney 8-7 on Saturday after taking the lead late in the game to finish 8-1 this season.

Gabe Roberts led things off on the mound for McCook Bison 12U. He went five innings, allowing six runs on ten hits, striking out five and walking one.

McCook Bison 12U tallied two home runs on the day.

Roberts had a homer in the first inning. Bryson Gullion had a long ball in the third inning.

McCook Bison 12U racked up nine hits on the day.

Tristan Campbell, Gullion and Cole Walter all managed multiple hits for McCook Bison 12U.

Cole, Bryson, and Tristan each managed two hits to lead McCook Bison 12U. McCook Bison 12U stole six bases during the game as two players stole more than one.

Miles Pollmann led the way with two.

The McCook team also knocked Westco from Scottsbluff, 5-4, on this final weekend of their 2020 season.

That game was stopped in the third inning due to heat but was official.

In other Legion baseball, McCook’s home games against Sidney tonight have both been canceled.

The Pinnacle Bank and Herrmann Jones Junior B teams both were scheduled to play but Sidney was not ready.
