Thursday, June 18, 2020

McCOOK, Neb. — At a special meeting Wednesday, the McCook City Council unanimously approved waivers/user agreements for those who want to use Memorial Auditorium and the Heritage Senior Center.

The waivers /agreements holds the city harmless concerning COVID-19 exposure and requires any individual, organization or group using the auditorium or senior center comply with all directed health measures currently in place.

Under Phase III, beginning Monday, June 22, directed health measures allow the auditorium to be opened at 50% rated occupancy and bars/restaurants open at 100% occupancy. Groups of people are limited to eight, with six feet of social distancing maintained.

While the city auditorium has been re-opened, the senior center as of today is still closed, although meals are still being delivered and the public transit bus is operating.
