TRENTON, Neb. — The Wallace Wildcats pulled down 59 rebounds and hit enough shots to beat Wauneta-Palisade, 51-37, in RPAC consolation play Thursday afternoon.

W-P (7-11 record) stayed within 20-15 at halftime despite the Wildcats cleaning both backboards.

However, a 20-4 third quarter propelled Wallace to its fifth win this season (5-9 overall).

Sophomore Mariah Gardner’s 24 points paced the Wildcat scoring attack.

Senior Quinn Koop crushed the rebound category with 17, freshman Karlie Finley secured 12 and sophomore Denay Pelster pulled in 11.

Junior Haylee Sandman's 14 points paced the W-P Broncos.
