Gazette-area high school basketball teams rank in their class power points standings entering varsity play this week:

BOYS

Class B

McCook (7-7) is 22nd overall of 27 teams. Omaha Skutt (12-0) is leader.

Class C-1

Chase County (10-2) is 8th overall of 52. Auburn (14-0) is the leader.

Class C-2

Dundy County-Stratton (11-1) is 5th overall of 55. Hitchcock County (7-5) is 35th and Cambridge (3-8) is 46th. BRLD (13-0) is leader.

Class D-1

Southern Valley (9-3) is 10th overall of 55. Wauneta-Palisade (7-7) is 28th, Maywood-Hayes Center (5-9) is 43rd and Arapahoe (2-11) is 53rd. North Platte St. Patrick’s (13-0) is the leader.

Class D-2

Medicine Valley (4-7) is 30th overall of 55. Southwest (2-11) is 42nd.

Falls City Sacred Heart (14-1) is the leader.

GIRLS

Class B

McCook (6-9) is 15th overall of 27 teams. Crete (13-0) is leader.

Class C-1

Chase County (9-3) is 20th overall of 54. Southern Valley (5-7) is 27th. North Bend Central (15-0) is the leader.

Class D-1

Dundy County-Stratton (12-1) is 6th overall of 55.

Maywood-Hayes Center (12-2) is 8th, Hitchcock County (8-4) is 20th, Cambridge (5-6) is 26th, Southwest (4-9) is 46th and Arapahoe (2-11) is 51st. CWC (15-0) is the leader.

Class D-2

Wauneta-Palisade (5-9) is 27th overall of 56 teams. Medicine Valley (4-8) is 32nd. Falls City Sacred Heart (14-2) is the leader.
