The family of Paul and Mary Nichols of Culbertson, Neb., is hosting a card shower in honor of the couple’s 50th wedding anniversary on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2020. They were wed in 1970, at the United Methodist Church in Culbertson. Paul and Mary were born within days of each other, raised in the area and started dating while they were both in high school. In 1971, they settled on a farm outside of Culbertson and raised their three children. Paul had farming in his blood and continues farming while holding public office as a county commissioner. Mary, a successful retired business owner, has a green thumb and is said to have the prettiest yard in the county. Cards of congratulations will reach them at 71590 Drive 369, Culbertson, NE 69024.
