Bison football team hits field on Saturday

It’s time to fire up for McCook High football with the Bison playing their first scrimmage at Weiland Field. Kickoff is set for 9:30 a.m. according to available information.

McCOOK, Neb. — Saturday morning brings the McCook Bison’s 2019 debut at Weiland Field with their opening intrasquad scrimmage.

Action begins at 9:30 p.m. followed by the Bison Boosters’ sports drinkscrimmage Thursday evening.

Then the fun really begins.

Based on “what to watch” for Class B football, even Lincoln experts agree McCook again will be in the middle of everything.

Top games, players and teams all include Nebraska’s well-known red-and-black.

Games to watch range from week one, when last year’s fast finishing Hastings Tigers invade Weiland Field for the Aug. 30 season opener.

More will be mentioned leading into that game.

Hastings, Beatrice, York and Scottsbluff are alll among oppnents to watch mentioned in today’s Lincoln Journal-Star.

Quarterback Cameryn Berry leads Bison players to watch.
