Pirates pillaging Majors tourney at Felling

FELLING FIELD — Quentin Pollman finished four-for-four and powered Team Pollman Pirates in range of a title with their 6-3 win over the Kmoch Mets Wednesday evening.

Team Pollmann will play for the Majors League championship of McCook Midget League Baseball next Wednedsay at Felling Field.

The opponent is still to be determined.

Team Pollmann Pirates collected 10 hits against the Mets while taking charge of Wednesday’s winner’s bracket contest.

Quentin Terry, Trenton Raile and Miles Pollman each managed multiple hits for the victoriousPirates.

Kmoch Mets watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover .

Team Pollmann Pirates scored on a groundout from Coleman Chism, a stolen base by Raile and another single from iJadyn Fox in the first inning.

Terry was on the pitcher’s mound for Team Pollmann Pirates. He allowed one hit and one run over five innings, striking out 10.

Landon Kmoch started the game for Mets. He went five innings, allowing six runs on nine hits, striking out nine and walking zero. Ethan Schmidt threw one inning in relief.

Gabe Roberts led Mets with two hits in three at bats.

Mets didn’t commit a single error in the field. Tristan Campbell had eight chances in the field, the most on the team.

Team Pollmann Pirates was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error.

Raile had the most chances in the field with 10.
