Sox stop the Mets, but Mets deck Cards at Felling
FELLING FIELD — CrossFit McCook White Sox won a 7-2 contest over the Mets in McCook Midget Baseball League action Monday night.
Mets fired up the offense in the first inning. Zach Hinze’s wild pitch allowed one run to score for Mets.
CrossFit McCook White Sox tallied four runs in the second inning. Trey Tiller and Espn Hall each had RBIs in the big inning.
Hinze toed the rubber for CrossFit McCook White Sox. He surrendered two runs on four hits over four innings, striking out nine.
Landon Kmoch led things off on the hill for Mets. He allowed one hit and two runs over one inning, striking out three and walking one.
Jude Schmick went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead the White Sox in hits. CrossFit McCook White Sox was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error.Schmick had the most chances in the field with seven.
Kmoch led Mets with two hits in two at bats.
Mets 13, Cardinals 10
FELLING FIELD — Mets took the lead late in the game in a 13-10 victory over Carpenter Breland Funeral Home Cardinals on Tuesday.
The game was tied 10-10 ten with Mets batting in the top of the fourth when Landon Kmoch singled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs.
Kmoch led Mets to victory by driving in four runs. He went 3-for-3 at the plate. Kmoch drove in runs on a single in the first and a single in the fourth.
Mets opened up scoring in the first inning. Mets scored two runs when Kmoch singled.
Gage Brinkman was on the pitcher’s mound for Mets. He allowed zero hits and four runs.
Cason Waugh was on the hill for Carpenter Breland Funeral Home Cardinals. He allowed five hits and five runs. Josiah Wilkinson threw two 2/3 innings.
