Rods' vision leads to Felling late victory

McCOOK, Neb. — My Family Vision Clinic Lug Nuts lost the lead late in a 7-6 defeat to Boutique Air Hot Rods on Friday.

The game was tied 6-6 with Air Hot Rods batting in the top of the fifth when Mason West singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

My Family Vision Clinic Lug Nuts lost despite out-hitting Boutique Air Hot Rods 8-6.

Hot Rods scored four runs in the fourth inning. Boutique Air Hot Rods’s big inning included a walk from Braidon Garcia and a single by James Henning.

The Lug Nuts totaled eight hits in the game. Benes totaled three hits in three at bats.

My Family Vision Clinic Lug Nuts tore up the base paths, as five players stole at least two bases. Parker Brittain led the way with three.

Boutique Air Hot Rods racked up six hits on the day. Henning went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Boutique Air Hot Rods in hits. Boutique Air Hot Rods stole six bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Dominic Hixon led the way with three.

Tin Caps triumph

Nothing came easy for Parker Scrappers on Friday, as they fell 8-1 to Bortner Pioneer Seeds Tin Caps

Bortner Pioneer Seeds Tin Caps opened up scoring in the first inning, when Lee Davidson grounded out, scoring one run.

Parker Scrappers knotted the game up at one in the bottom of the first inning, when Kale Sattler singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

Bortner Pioneer Seeds Tin Caps pulled away for good with four runs in the third inning. In the third Davidson doubled on a 3-0 count, scoring two runs and Tripp Floyd homered on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.

Davidson led things off on the hill for Bortner Pioneer Seeds Tin Caps. He went three innings, allowing one run on two hits, striking out eight and walking one.

Sattler went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Parker Scrappers in hits. Sattler led Parker Scrappers with three stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with five stolen bases.

Tin Caps was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error.

Quinton Meyers had the most chances in the field with 13.
