ELWOOD, Neb. — Roderick N. “Rod” Fiene, 54, died Thursday (May 30, 2019)l at his home in Elwood.

He was born Feb 27, 1965, in Cambridge, Neb., to Eldon “Hank” and Carleen (Noltie) Fiene.

He graduated from Cambridge High School with the Class of 1984. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. for 30 years. He married Tamra Kahrs on May 31, 1986. He later married Patricia Munoz on May 21, 1999.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ernest and Clara Fiene Sr. and Leonard and Mable Noltie; and father, Eldon “Hank” Fiene.

Survivors include his mother, Carleen Fiene of Cambridge; wife, Patricia of Elwood; children, Charles and Emily Fiene of Texas; step-daughter, Brandy and husband, Paul of Alaska; brother, Shad Fiene of Cambridge; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is Wednesday, June 5, 2019, 5 to 8 p.m., at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Elwood. Funeral services are Thursday, June 6, 2019, 10 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Kenton Birtell officiating. Interment is at Salem Cemetery in Elwood with military rites provided by the U.S. Marine Funeral Honors Corps. and the Elwood American Legion.

In lieu of flower,s memorials are suggested to the PTSD Foundation of America.
