McCook frosh, sophs soar in high jump

McCOOK, Neb. — McCook’s freshman and sophomores were soaring in the Hoehner Invitational high jump Monday afternoon.

Freshman Addison Randel cleared 5” for the title and career best.Sophomore Liviya Wier reached third place at 4’8” while classmate Alyssa Secord finished fourth also at 4’8”.

Sophomore Savannah Donovan claimed fifth in the pole vault at 8’6”.

In boys’ high jump, sophomore Mark Arp reached his best of 6’ to place second behind Lex’s Ajack Walkur (6’2”). Bison Ty Stevens was third (5’8”) just over Southern Valley’s Pete Brown (fourth, 5’6”) and Carter Bose (fifth), who cleared 5’6”.
