Monday, April 1, 2019

McCOOK, Neb. — Monday’s proving to be a great move for the Hoehner Invitational as clear skies and 60-degree weather’s greeting this annual track-field meet.

The McCook Bison were set to start their home debut at 1 p.m. with field events. Opening track races were set for 2:30.

Area foes Holdrege, Cambridge, Lexington, Dundy County-Stratton, Southern Valley and Colby, Kan., will challenge the Bison today.

McCook’s boys should be fresh off a Sidney Invitational team title last week where they scored 181 team points.

Both varsity and JV competition is scheduled to take place just west of McCook High School.

Lexington and Cambridge both achieved victories at the Lex early-season invitational on March 19.

Both DC-S teams delivered strong performances at the Sutherland Invitational last week. The Tigers are scheduled to host their own invite on Tuesday.

Southern Valley competed in a Minden Triangular, results appear below.

The Colby Eagles will be making their season debut.

Watch for results in an upcoming Gazette.
