Tigers, Wolves top all-RPAC girls squad

Talent from nine Gazette area schools filled the all-Republican Valley Activities Conference girls basketball teams announced this week.

Class D-1 state finalist Dundy County-Stratton led the way with four including first-team seniors Grace Frederick and Adalene Krutsinger.

Maywood-Hayes Center also featured four while Hitchcock County earned three spots en route to district championship games.

Southwest senior Nicole Dewey representes the Roughriders on this year’s first team. Improved Arapahoe owned three selections.

East first team: Juniors Korynn Clason, Cambridge; Grace Hogeland, Southern Valley; seniors Nicole Dewey, Southwest; Grace Schwartz, Bertrand; and Tiffany Wells, Alma.

West first team: seniors Adalene Krutsinger, DC-S; Grace Frederick, DC-S; juniors Kass Kisker, Hitchcock County; Shaye Porter, Hitchcock County; and sophomore Jaycee Widner, Maywood-Hayes Center.

East second team: seniors Joslyn North, Arapahoe; Mariah Watson, Arapahoe; Dakota Hughes, Alma; sophomore Acelyn Klein, Medicine Valley; and fresshman Carlee Stuhmer, Alma.

West second team: seniors Jayden Widener, Maywood-Hayes Center; Kyleigh Scott, Hitchcock County; juniors Sable Lambley, DC-S; Avery Johnson, Maywood-Hayes Center; and Janie Sommer, Maxwell.

East Gazette area honorable mentions: seniors Monique Gooden, Wauneta-Palisade; Chloe Craig, Cambridge; Maggie Bose, Southern Valley; juniors Terri Hilker, Arapahoe; Jaycee Lapp, Maywood-Hayes Center; sophomores Maggie Lutz, DC-S; Kynlee Marquez, Southern Valley; and Haylee Sandman, Wauneta-Palisade.
