Bertrand girls down S.V. Eagles

BERTRAND, Neb. — The host Bertrand girls held off Southern Valley, 45-40, in other RPAC tournament consolation action on Thursday.

Southern Valley (6-12 record) fell behind 15-5 after one quarter but climbed back withn 31-29 entering the final period.

However, the Vikings (8-8) outscored them 14-11 during those final eight minutes.

No individual stats were obtained for either team.

Southern Valley travels to Phillipsburg, Kan., to play its next varsity game at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.

The Panthers own a 7-5 record this season.
