Stephen and Marilyn Diederich of Oberlin, Kan., are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Brandi Rose Diederich, to Evan Hunter McConnell, son of Debbon Fahnholz of Chadron, Neb., and David McConnell, Central City, Neb.

Grandparents of the bride-to-be are Bennie and Rosalie Desmond of McCook, Neb., Lola Diederich of McCook and the late Merlin Diederich.

Grandparents of the prospective bridegroom are Carol and John Barrett of Oberlin, Catherine McConnell of McCook and the late Stephen McConnell and the late Ed Fahnholz.

The bride-to-be earned a bachelor of science in business administration degree at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She is the sales manager for Brookdale Senior Living in McCook and is a 2010 graduate of Decatur Community High School. 

The prospective bridegroom is a veteran of the United States Air force. He served seven years as a power production journeyman.  He is a conductor for the Burlington Northern-Santa Fe railway and is a 2010 graduate of McCook Senior High.

An April 27, 2019, wedding is planned at United Methodist Church in McCook.
