Roughriders rumbling along at now 7-1

TRENTON, Neb. — Junior Bryan Leslie poured in 25 points to fuel Southwest’s seventh win this season, 53-34, over the Hitchock County Falcons Thursday evening.

The Roughriders (7-1) got another 11 points from senior Blake Williams while almost hitting 50 percent of their overall shots (25 for 49).

Senior Brett Soderlund stepped up to drill three of four field goals for another seven points.

Junior John Stritt (five), senior Dylan Hofman (three) and senior Brandon Leslie (two) completed this latest Southwest victory.

Bryan Leslie’s seven steals kept the Falcon attack off-balance, though they only trailed 39-32 through three quarters. No stats were obtained.

Coach Christian Arterburn's team will not play again until after Christmas.
