GOTHENBURG, Neb. — Southern Valley’s boys are now 3-1 thanks to their 60-56 overtime victory over the Gothenburg Swedes Thursday evening.

Junior Jaden Quinn put in 23 points that powered the tough Eagle victory.

Southern Valley built a 32-25 lead through three quarters only to see Gothenburg suddenly heat up with 25 fourth-period points.

The game was tied 50-50 at end of regulation.

However, the Eagles recovered for a 10-6 OT period with balanced support behind Quinn.

Sophomores Brody Yant and Clayton Berry netted nine points each.

Carter Bose, another sophomore — sent six more points through the nets for S.V.

Sophomore Colton Burgeson contributed three points while junior Draden Best drilled one free throw.

The Eagles prevailed even though Berry fouled out.
