NORTON, Kan. — Bryce Shane Schumaker was born into the arms of Jesus at 12:50 a.m., on Monday, Nov. 19, in Norton. He was tiny but absolutely perfect with the cutest little fingers and toes!

 Bryce was already so loved by his mommy and daddy, Mandy and Shane, as well as his big sisters, Nataley, Lauryn, and Shelby. His grandmothers, Laura Mahood (Salina) and Bonnie Schumaker (Bartley, Neb.), as well as his great-grandma, Barb Baltzell (Norton) and his Papa Terry Pfeifer (Victoria) had made a place in their hearts for their new grandbaby.  Aunts, uncles, and cousins: Todd, Jen, Callie Schumaker and Austin Davis (Bloomfield, Iowa), Michael Pfeifer (Salina), Jeff, Brantley, Gavon Pfeifer and Gracie McDonald (Victoria), Ron Baltzell (Salina), Jessica Pfeifer (Hutchinson), couldn’t wait to meet him! Everyone was anxiously awaiting the new baby that was to be welcomed into the family in May of 2019!

 But Bryce didn’t get to come home.  He opened his eyes and saw Heaven! He met Casey Eryn and Korey Avery, the two angel babies we lost 17 years ago and we imagine them all playing happily together! Bryce is being cradled and rocked by God and all the people we have loved and lost. This includes his Papa Mike Mahood, Papa Greg Schumaker, great-grandpa, Neil Baltzell, great-grandparents, Bonnie and Ralph Pfeifer, great-grandma, Bev Schumaker, great-grandpa, H. Earl Schumaker, great-grandma, Charlotte Rogers, and great-grandpa Clarence (Bud) Rogers.,

 There was a family memorial service to honor Bryce’s little life on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2018. Arrangements were with the Enfield Funeral Home at 215 W. Main in Norton, KS 67654.  Memorials can be sent to the funeral home.  Condolences may be sent to www.enfieldfh.com
