McCOOK, Neb. — Jameson Craig Rugg, born Jan. 16, 1963, in Colorado Springs, Colo., to Robert and Shirley (Sughroue) Rugg, while his dad was stationed at the Air Force Academy, passed away unexpectedly of cardiac arrest, on Nov. 20, 2018.

As his dad was in the Air Force, the family moved frequently. After living in Colorado Springs, the family moved to Air Force bases in Spain, Germany, New Mexico, Texas, and Massachusetts, before settling in Indianola, Neb., at the age of nine, with his mother and siblings.

He lived in Indianola until serving in the Army, then settled in McCook, where he has lived for many years. He serviced in the United States Army from October 1985 to November 1988.

Preceding him in death was his darling daughter, Brooke Rugg; mother, Shirley Miner; father, Robert Rugg; step-father, Marvin Miner; and brother, Ronald Rugg.

His passing is mourned by his beloved first-born son, Jameson, Mannheim, Germany; his beloved son, Craig, McCook; and Craig’s daughter, Isla, his first grandchild. Survivors also include siblings, Gloria McCormick, Jacksonville, Fla.; Brian Rugg, Lincoln, Neb.; Jeffrey (Noreen) Miner, Las Vegas, Nev.; step-mother, Charlotte (Robert) Walker, Greeley, Colo.; siblings, Linette (Matthew) Hickman, Harrington, Del.; Leah Rugg, Cheyenne, Wyo.; Laura Rugg, Greeley, Colo.; Robert (Jona-Lynn) Rugg, Seoul, South Korea; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

The memorial service will be at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Home in McCook on Friday, Nov. 30, 2018, beginning at 9:30 a.m., with recitation prayer of the Rosary, followed by the memorial service.

Inurnment will be in the St. Catherine’s Catholic Cemetery in Indianola. Friends may leave online condolences at herrmannfh.com. Memorials may be left in Jameson’s name at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook. Herrmann Jones Funeral Chapel is entrusted with arrangements.
