Promoter Darren Dale of Bird City, Kan., is excited about the opportunities for visitors/shoppers to learn about the latest ag technology, research and equipment offered by close to 300 vendors from 20 states, Canada and Australia. Holding 6-month-old toy Australian shepherd “Shelby,” Darren learned about the “latest litter” of puppies (toy Aussies, Maltese and Morkies) raised at Jacky Roesener’s USDA and state-inspected kennels at McDonald, Kan. The farm and ranch expo runs through 7 p.m., today, and from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., Thursday. Exhibitors fill five buildings and spill out onto the midway. Admission and parking on the fairgrounds are free of charge.
