RPAC volleyball tourney tips off soon

McCOOK, Neb. — The Cambridge Trojans and Dundy County-Stratton Tigers will be top seeds when RPAC volleyball tournament action begins on Monday.

Cambridge (18-3) has won 20 consecutive sets while the DC-S Tigers own a strong 14-6 record so far this season.

RPAC matches tips off Monday at various sites leading into Tuesday’s semifinals and final at McCook Community College.

The complete pairings along with start times:


East Division

At Cambridge: No. 4 Southern Valley vs. No. 5 Medicine Valley, 5:30 p.m.; winner meets No. 1 Cambridge, 7 p.m.

At Alma: No. 7 Southwest vs. No. 2 Alma, 4 p.m.; No. 3 Bertrand vs. No. 6 Arapahoe, 5:30 p.m.; winners meet at 7.

West Division

At Benkelman: No. 4 Wauneta-Palisade vs. No. 5 Maxwell, 5:30 p.m.; winner meets No. 1 DC-S, 7 p.m.

At Hayes Center: No. 2 Maywood-Hayes Center vs. No. 7 Paxton, 4 p.m.; No. 3 Hitchcock County vs. No. 6 Wallace, 5:30 p.m. Winners meet at 7 p.m.


At MCC’s Peter & Dolores Graff Events Center

Semifinals: West winners, 3 p.m.; East winners, 4:30 p.m.

Consolation final, 6 p.m.

RPAC championship match, 7:30 p.m.
