OBERLIN, Kan. — Loyd “Bob” James Keenan, 84, of Oberlin, died Aug. 13, 2018, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Neb.

He was born Sept. 2, 1933 in Jennings, Kan., to Edger James and Ellen “Ruth” (Harris) Keenan. He graduated high school in 1951 and served in the United States Air Force as an airplane mechanic. He married Lila Adams in May 15, 1959.

He owned a heavy equipment business and was the supervisor of the Decatur County Road and Bridge Department.

Survivors include his wife, Lila of Oberlin; children, Ricky James Keenan and wife, Pamela of Norton, Kan., Debbie Ayers and husband, Richard of Dodge City, Kan., Kathy Harms and husband, Roy of Scott City, Kan., and Tammy Touslee and husband, Rick of Oberlin; sister-in-law, Imogene Keenan; 14 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edger James and Ellen “Ruth” Keenan; brothers, Neil Keenan and Boyd Keenan; sisters, Dorothy Davis and Edna Smith; one grandson and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is Thursday, Aug. 16, 2018. 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin.

Services are Friday, Aug. 17, 2018, 2 p.m.. at Pauls Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Clayton Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.paulsfh.com
