Financial services firm investing in the future

McCOOK, Neb. -- Work has begun on a new office building on the southeast corner of the West Third and D Street interesection, across the street south from the U.S. Post Office in McCook.

Being built for Brad and Sharleen Riemenschneider, the 2,762 square foot structure will serve as the headquarters for McCook's newest Edward Jones investment office.

The stone and siding faced building will face north and will feature three full offices and a large conference room.

"We are very appreciative of the great support we have received from our clients, the city and the community," Sharleen said.

For the project to be accomplished, the Riemenschneiders requested and received permission to construct the office building in what had formerly been a residential location. In addition, the city allowed the Riemenschneiders to have the building face D Street, instead of West Third, which had been the fronting street for the house previously located there.

Encouraged by the city's support, the Riemenschneiders turned to local contractors for help in making the office dream a reality.

They responded unanimously. "All our contractors are local," Sharleen said. "And, on top of that, the family who sold the property to us -- Carlos and Josie Dominguez -- are also Edward Jones' clients."

The scheduled completion date for the office building is April 1, 2019, but the rapid start for the project raises hope that the work will be completed much sooner.

The multiple members of the construction team are Jay Hancock's CTE Construction team, framing; Kent Gerih, concrete; Bill Matson, dry wall; Adam Johnson and Scott Boehm of Ravenswood Electric, electrical; and Volz, Inc., plumbing, heating and air conditioning.

When Sharleen and her support staff make the move to the office at 310 West D, it will continue a long line of D Street locations for Sharleen as a financial advisor. She received her certification as a financial advisor in 1997 while working for First National Bank at 108 West D Street. Her D Street connection continued in 2004 when she became affiliated with Edward Jones at 109 West D Street, and will go forward to 310 West D with the move to the new office.

One of Nebraska's best served Edward Jones' locations, McCook will have four Edward Jones' financial offices when the new office is completed. Serving clients from offices in McCook are Dustin Hartzer, 308 West 10th; Stacy Priebe, 109 West D; Garrett Rippen, 205 West 2nd; and, in the near future, Sharleen Riemenschneider, at 310 West D.
