OBERLIN, Kan. — Esther Carlson, 99, of Oberlin, died Thursday (July 26, 2018), at Decatur Health in Oberlin.

She was born Oct.20, 1918, in McPherson County, Kan. She graduated from Decatur Community High School in 1936. She married Raymond Carlson on Aug. 17, 1939, in Oberlin. She worked as a secretary and cashier in Oberlin. She was a charter member of the Oberlin Covenant Church.

Survivors include children, Joyce (Bob) Hartzog of Oberlin; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Ronald Carlson; brother, Harold Olson; and infant grandson, Timothy Allen Carlson.

Visitation was Sunday, July 29, 2018, at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin. Funeral services are today, Monday, July 30, 2018, at the Oberlin Covenant Church. Burial followed in the Oberlin Cemetery.
