HOLDREGE, Neb. — One out from their season being over, McCook National Bank's Seniors scored four runs to rally for a 6-4 win over the Gothenburg Melons and take home another B-6 area baseball championship.

Full details will appear in Tuesday's Gazette and here at mccookgazette.com.

McCook rallied from down 3-0 with six outs remaining, 3-1 through six innings and 3-2 by scoring four two-out runs. Seth Dugger's hustle on an infield chopper allowed the tying run to score, and Kaleb Taylor dropped in a single to put MNB ahead 4-3.

James Mockery finished his complete-game pitching effort, battling through a bottom of the seventh where Gothenburg nearly made its own dramatic rally.

The Seniors (24-14) earned a trip to this year's Class B state tournament starting on either Friday or Saturday in Wayne. Pairings should be announced on Tuesday.
