Friday, July 6, 2018
Twenty-five cyclists and a six-person crew will stop in McCook Saturday after a 95-mile ride from Wray, Colo., one leg of their 3,720-mile journey from San Francisco to Washington, D.C. The McCook riders are one of three teams comprising Pi Kappa Phi fraternity members participating in the 30th annual Journey of Hope, raising money and awareness for people with disabilities. The three teams will raise more than $650,000 toward the cause, adding to more than $15 million raised over 41 years by The Ability Experience organization. The team will arrive at Memorial United Methodist Church, 105 East E, between 3:30 and 7 p.m. More information is available at http://www.abilityexperience.org/
