ORLANDO, Fla. — McCook High’s Kody Hahn won 10 matches and took home All-American honors from the Disney Scholastic Wrestling Duals last week.

Hahn and Bison teammate Landon Towne both competed for a Nebraska War team that finished top five in its division.

Hahn wrestled the 170-pound weight division where he competed against wrestlers ranging from South Dakota to Florida.

He started with a 1:20 pin of John Tiedeman from the North Florida Yuligans.

Following a 34-second pin against Logan Robinson from the Vikings, Hahn suffered his second defeat of the tourney against Jordan Mobley of the Oakleaf Spartans.

Mobley scored a pin with 55 seconds remaining in regulation.

Yet Hahn rebounded to win his next seven matches. He mixed in two pins with the fastest being 1:37 against Randall Santana of Team Skeletor.

He later stuck Hunter Rockill from the Beach Rats with 39 seconds remaining in their third period.

Overall, Hahn posted a 10-2 record at the tournament.

Towne also delivered a winning record at 160 as he went 7-5 which included six of those wins by pins.

Towne started fast, needing only 18 seconds to defeat Cole Baggett from those North Florida Yuligans.

He lost once, but then dropped Gavin Holland from South Dakota Red in 1:11.

Towne later needed 1:06 for a victory against Oakleaf Spartan Robert McGlynn. He went into second period twice but stuck both Kyle Stradzus of Turks Head and Efrain Acosta from Team Skeletor. Towne later conquered a 7-5 decision over Jacob Kaminis of Beach Rats.
