Blast lifts Bulls to win, Rocks top Storm

McCOOK, Neb. — The R & S Water Well Muckdogs stayed in it until the end, but the Pfeffer Service Bulls pulled away late in a 5-1 victory on Saturday.

The game was tied 1-1with the Pfeffer Service Bulls batting in the top of the sixth when Bryson Gullion homered on a 2-1 count, scoring four runs.

In the top of the fourth inning, the Pfeffer Service Bulls tied things up at one when Cooper Soundy singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Gullion got the start for the Pfeffer Service Bulls.

He went five and two-thirds innings, allowing one run on two hits, striking out 16 and walking zero.

Gabe Roberts led things off on the hill for the R & S Water Well Muckdogs. He went five and a third innings, allowing one run on two hits, striking out 16 and walking one.

Brenden Hedrick threw one-third of an inning out of the bullpen.

The R & S Water Well Muckdogs were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error.

Reese Gillespie made the most plays with 17.

Gullion went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Pfeffer Service Bulls in hits.

The Pfeffer Service Bulls didn’t commit a single error in the field. Soundy had the most chances in the field with 16.

Gullion led Pfeffer Service Bulls with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with six stolen bases.

Blue Rocks rock

The Schmick’s Market Blue Rocks got on the board in the first inning. Lee Davidson singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

The Schmick’s Market Blue Rocks collected nine hits. Jude Schmick, Davidson, and Pollmann all collected multiple hits for the Schmick’s Market Blue Rocks. Schmick went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the Schmick’s Market Blue Rocks in hits.

Hudson Dellevoet led Bradley Machine and Pump Storm with two hits in three at bats.
