Phillies club Cubs, Royals rule at Felling

McCOOK, Neb. — The Sports Shoppe Cubs fell behind early and couldn’t come back in an 11-4 loss to the Carpenter Breland Funeral Home Phillies on Thursday.

In the first inning, the Carpenter Breland Funeral Home Phillies got their offense started when DeAndre Berry singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

The Carpenter Breland Funeral Home Phillies scored seven runs in the fourth inning. The big inning for the Carpenter Breland Funeral Home Phillies came thanks to singles by Cole Graham and Berry and a double from Quentin Terry.

Kaiden Porter led things on the hill for the Carpenter Breland Funeral Home Phillies. He lasted one and one-third innings, allowing one hit and one run while striking out four.

Kollin Werkmeister was on the pitcher’s mound for the Sports Shoppe Cubs.

Jalen Collicott threw two-thirds of an inning out of the bullpen.

Collicott went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead the Sports Shoppe Cubs.

The Carpenter Breland Funeral Home Phillies collected 12 hits. Berry, Terry, and Graham all managed multiple hits for the Carpenter Breland Funeral Home Phillies.

Berry led the Carpenter Breland Funeral Home Phillies with three hits in three at bats. The Carpenter Breland Funeral Home Phillies stole seven bases during the game as Graham led the way with three.

Cubs win!

Both teams were strong on the hill on Thursday, but the Royals were just a little bit stronger at the plate in a victory over the H & H Installation Braves on Thursday.

Brett Fraker started the game for the H & H Installation Braves and recorded nine outs.

The Royals opened up scoring in the first inning. The Royals scored one run when Canyon Hosick tripled.

In the bottom of the first inning, the H & H Installation Braves tied things up at two when David Hinson singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

The Royals pulled away for good with one run in the third inning.

Landon Kmoch singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

Kmoch led things off on the pitcher’s mound for the Royals. He lasted two and two-thirds innings, allowing four hits and two runs while striking out seven.Fraker started the game for the H & H Installation Braves.

He surrendered two runs on five hits over three innings, striking out four. Mykuh Hanson threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Hinson went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead the H & H Installation Braves in hits. Josiah Wilkinson led the H & H Installation Braves with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with eight stolen bases.
