OBERLIN, Kan. — Lee Don Scott, 63, of Oberlin, died Saturday (May 19, 2018), at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Neb.

He was born March 26, 1955, in Oberlin to Donald and Alene (Krizek) Scott. He graduated from Decatur Community High School in 1973. He worked as a soil conservation technician for the NRCS and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

He married Melanie Sis on Aug. 3, 1982, in McCook, Neb.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Alene Scott.

Survivors include his wife, Melanie Scott of Oberlin; children, Britton Scott (Amber) of Oberlin and Bronson Scott (Kara) of Salina, Danielle Becker (Justin) of Casper, Wyo., Chanelle Browns (Brian) of Buckeye, Ariz., and Rachelle Scott (fiancée, Kurt Olson) of Beloit; brother, Mark Scott of South Sioux City, Neb.; sister, Kay Danburg of Grand Island, Neb.; and nine grandchildren.

Visitation is Wednesday, May 23, 2018, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., with a vigil and rosary service at 7 p.m., at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin.

Services are Thursday, May 24, 2018, 10 a.m. at the Gateway in Oberlin with Rev. Mark Berland officiating. Burial will follow at the Oberlin Cemetery.
