OXFORD, Neb. -- Southern Valley had no trouble winning Thursday's Dennis Knipping Invitational.
The Eagles carded a 353 team score, 58 strokes better than runner-up Alma, to breeze to the team title on the Oxford golf course.
All five Southern Valley golfers medaled in the top-10 of Thursday's tournament field.
Ryder Lewis won the tournament with an 82 (37-45), which included three birdies during his tournament-best 37 round. Lewis beat out Alma's Ty Heft by two strokes for the title.
Eagle teammates Riley Mustin (87, 42-45) and Chaston Burgeson (88, 46-42) scored third and fourth, overall, respectively, while Spencer Brown was seventh with a 96 (47-49) and Carter Brown tied for eighth with a 97 (47-50).
Hitchcock County had the next-best score among Gazette teams with a sixth-place finish of 448.
Darian Hutto fired a Falcon-best 91 (46-45) to finish fifth in the field, while Remington Hodges also medaled with his 13th-place score of 99 (47-52).
Other Falcon scores were Chris O'Byrne with a 110 (59-51), April Wagner with a 148 (75-73) and Joslyn Dwyer with a 162 (82-80).
Maywood-Hayes Center took seventh with a 494.
The Wolves had one medalist in Paul White. White shot a 100 (48-52) to finish 14th, overall.
Keegan Dibbern was five strokes off a medaling position with his 107 (55-52), while Ethan Broker (133, 70-63) and Jack McIntosh (154, 73-81) also competed for MHC.
Arapahoe fielded three golfers and finished ninth in the team standings.
The Warriors' Cord Frink led the way with his 108 (53-55). Tanner Deisley (132, 64-68) and Hunter Swanson (136, 78-58) also had scores for Arapahoe.
Golf teams will wrap up their regular seasons next week before moving on to district tournaments the week of May 14.
