IMPERIAL, Neb. — Wilma Eileen Egle was born to William and Georgia (Thomas) Williamson on Nov. 12, 1924 in Stratton, Neb. She attended school in Stratton and graduated from Stratton High School with the class of 1942. Wilma married Dwight William Egle on Nov. 8, 1942, in McCook, Neb. The couple would live in Stratton and Wauneta, Nebraska, New Lenox, Illinois, and finally in Imperial.

Wilma was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Wauneta and was active in the American Legion Post No. 304, serving in the auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and reading.

Wilma Egle passed away Sunday evening, April 29, 2018, at the Chase County Community Hospital in Imperial. She was 93 years of age.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Lauffer; parents; and seven siblings.

Survivors include her husband, Dwight of Imperial; son, Jerry and wife, Mary of Phoenix, Ariz.; son-in-law, Wayne Lauffer; daughter, Bobi Hicks and husband, Steve of Indian Trail, N.C.; son, Pete and wife, Bobbi of New Lenox, Ill.; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Don Bogart of Fort Collins, Colo.; and sister-in-law, Sandra Williamson of Arapahoe, Neb.

Graveside services were Friday morning, May 4, 2018, 10:30 a.m. (MT) at the Riverside Cemetery, Wauneta, Neb., with Rev. Gary Hunt officiating.
