HOLDREGE, Neb. — Kenneth L. Marvin, 63, of Holdrege, died Friday (April 27, 2018), at Phelps Memorial Hospital in Holdrege, Nebraska.

He was born on Aug. 30, 1954, in Ainsworth, Neb., to Leslie “Shorty” and Leola (Bahlman) Marvin. He joined the United States Army in 1978. He was medically discharged in 1986. He then lived in Beaver City, Neb.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Leola, and two brothers, Butch and Richard Marvin.

Survivors include his father, Leslie “Shorty” Marvin of Holdrege; brothers, Larry (Melodie) Marvin of Holdrege, Lester Marvin of Kearney Neb.; sisters, Linda Mallies of Aurora, Colo., Betty Newton of Holdrege, Carol Snyder of Holdrege, Mary Bowman of Alma, Neb., Kathy Mareno of Belle Fourche, S. D., and Steph (Bill) Whitlow of Imperial, Neb,; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation is Tuesday, May 1, 2018, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City, with family present from 5 to 7 p.m.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 2, 2018, 10:30 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Beaver City with the Rev. Nora Mendyk officiating. Interment will be at the Mount Hope Cemetery in Beaver City with military rites provided by the Beaver City American Legion and the Nebraska National Guard Honor Guard.
