One can only wonder because after a wild first weekend of madness that blew up many brackets, the Cambridge Clarion chief was cool and confident while taking spring team photos at Curtis.

“My bracket actually looks real good,” Gerlach told the Gazette’s R.B. Headley. “My title game’s still intact. I have Villanova over Michigan.”

Two weeks later, his prediction became perfection with the Wildcats’ 79-62 win.
