OBERLIN, Kan. — Frank L. McEvoy, 77, died Sunday, March 11, 2018, at Decatur Health in Oberlin, Kan.

He was born July 27, 1940, in Benkelman, Neb., where he graduated from high school. He served in the U.S. Navy. He retired from the Decatur County Co-Op as outside operations manager and safety director. He was a member of Herndon Covenant Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Curtis McEvoy; and three sisters, Indiana Wood, Geraldine Turpin, and Rosemary Sauvage.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret “Mert” McEvoy of Oberlin; children, Lonnie McEvoy (Mary) of rural Oberlin, Evan McEvoy of Hotchkiss, Colo., Stan McEvoy (Tamara) of Oberlin and Dawn Beckman (Brian) of Grinnell; sisters, Dori Randall of Sheridan, Wyo., and Janet Lee (Norman) of Anchorage, Alaska; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is Wednesday, March 14, 2018, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., with the family greeting friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

Funeral services are Thursday, March 15, 2018, 10 a.m. at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin with the Rev. Keith Reuther officiating. Burial will be in Oberlin Cemetery with military rites by Oberlin American Legion Post No. 70 and Oberlin American Legion Riders.
