McCOOK, Neb. — Jamie Samuel Dack of McCook, passed away at home on Saturday, March 3, 2018, at the age of 63.

Jamie was born on Jan. 30, 1955, in Denver, Colo., to parents, Carroll and Eleanor Dack. Jamie graduated from West High School in Denver in 1972, where he studied a variety of subjects including auto mechanics. He played varsity football and baseball and loved the Denver Broncos. Jamie lived and worked in Denver most of his life, however, in the early 2000s, he moved to McCook to pursue other opportunities.

Jamie met and married Sue (Hoyt) Dack of McCook on July 9, 2005. Jamie was an accomplished machinist and mechanic and was often called upon to repair Harley Davidsons, Indian and Euro Asian motorcycles. He also loved spending time with the six grandchildren he and Sue shared.

Jamie is survived by his wife Sue (Hoyt) Dack; three step-children, Nicole and husband, John Gomez, Josh and Caleb; six grandchildren, Logan, Anthony, Angelina, Gabriella, Phoenix, and Willow that he loved dearly; his sisters, Georgia (Dack) Young and husband, Terry of Dover, Del., Marsha (Dack) Smedley and husband, Tom of Centennial, Colo., and his younger brothers, Walter Dack and wife, Brenda of Arvada, Colo., and Jon Dack of Littleton, Colo.; along with many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Jamie was preceded in death by his father, Carroll B. Dack and mother, Eleanor (Daffer) Dack; brother, LeRoy Dack of Los Angeles, Calif., and sister, Sue Ellen (Dack) Taylor of Batesville, Miss.

A service is scheduled for Friday, March 16, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook with Jim Jones officiating. Inurnment will follow at Memorial Park Columbarium. A reception will follow at The Bear Cave Restaurant in Culbertson. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jamie's life.
